Friends With Benefits approves new leadership structure
The FWB community recently passed a proposal introducing a Community Council alongside a Mayor and Core Team, establishing a new leadership structure for the DAO. The goal is to further decentralize the organization and provide a more collaborative leadership framework. The Community Council will represent diverse interests, collaborate with the Mayor on the DAO's vision, and engage the community in shaping proposals and initiatives. The Council will also participate in the election of the Mayor and help improve governance and community engagement. Council members will be compensated with $500 USDC monthly, and elections will involve both community voting and Core Team selection. The Mayor will remain full-time with a two-year term and a $150,000 salary. The transition is targeted for the end of Q3/beginning of Q4. The proposal also includes rubrics for Council member qualifications and applications.
