Arbitrum accepting applications for its “short-term incentive” program
The Arbitrum Short-Term Incentive Program is a community-created initiative to distribute up to 50 million ARB tokens from the DAO treasury to active protocols on Arbitrum, aiming to accelerate ecosystem growth and generate data for future programs. The initiative recently received preliminary approval via a Snapshot poll, and will soon be moving to onchain ratification (on which execution of the program depends). In the meantime, applications are open — and the deadline is September 27th. The program spans two voting rounds, requires compliance with guidelines, data reporting, and community standards, and expects funds to be used by January 31, 2024.
Optimism opens applications for RetroPGF3
RetroPGF 3 will allocate 30 million OP tokens to reward contributions that have supported the development and adoption of Optimism. Eligibility for RetroPGF is open to all developers and contributors who have already impacted the Optimism Collective, focusing on past contributions rather than future promises. The application process involves describing contributions, providing contribution links, selecting impact categories, describing the impact, and disclosing grants and funding related to the contributions. Lido: The Guided Open Objective Setting Exercise (“GOOSE”) proposal [rerun]
This proposal suggests establishing a prototype framework called the "Guided Open Objective Setting Exercise" (GOOSE) for goal-setting in DAOs. The GOOSE aims to provide an open, adaptable, distributed, and cyclical process for setting short and medium-term goals aligned with the DAO's mission and vision to improve goal alignment among decentralized actors. The proposal outlines a process for submitting, discussing, and voting on goals, emphasizing the benefits of facilitating decentralized decision-making while maintaining alignment with the DAO's objectives. The voting period ends on September 22nd.

Nouns: Call for a Public Boycott on Nouns Auctions
Some OG Nouners are proposing a public boycott of Nouns auctions until Nounder 4156 voluntarily resigns and forfeits future Nounder rewards. This action is driven by concerns about 4156's leadership, decision-making, and attitude towards early DAO contributors, with various Nouners expressing their dissatisfaction and advocating for changes in leadership. Voting opens on September 22nd.

Aave: Treasury Management - GHO Funding
TokenLogic proposes acquiring GHO from secondary markets to support the Aave DAO's short-term funding requirements, aiming to transition expenses towards being denominated in GHO. The proposal outlines potential use cases for GHO, including funding for Aave Grants continuation, "Orbit" expansion, GHO Liquidity Committee 2, and potential ACI funding requests, with a total estimated spend of 1.676 million GHO over the next six months, or 1.976M GHO if AAVE is replaced with GHO within an AGD proposal. The proposal suggests converting stable coins held in the Ethereum Treasury to GHO using the Aave Swap Contract.
CityDAO: CIP-200 CityDAO Council v.2.0
This proposal aims to establish City Council 2.0, a temporary group of five well-informed and committed members from CityDAO, to address key administrative issues hindering CityDAO's progress. This council, subject to a quorum of 500 votes and a budget request of $10,000, will work on amending the CityDAO Charter, appointing a multisig, establishing legal clarity, regulating behavior, and implementing various responsibilities in two phases. The council's duration is initially set for three months, with the possibility of extension if phase one goals are met, and it reserves the right to bypass the forum stage in the CIP process and act as the Mission guild as needed.
Goldfinch: Operational Efficiency Budget
The Goldfinch community has proposed a change to improve operational efficiency and expedite decision-making by reducing the Governance Council's involvement in daily activities. They are requesting a budget of $50,000 USDC to be transferred to a community management multisig, which includes members from Goldfinch Community Managers and Warbler Labs employees. This budget will be allocated for bug bounties, administration fees, and operational costs, aiming to enhance the sustainability of the Goldfinch Protocol. The proposal is intended to streamline community management processes.
ShapeShift: SCP-154: Not Ready for Prime Time
In a joint statement issued by key members of the ShapeShift DAO community, they strongly urge FOX holders to vote against SCP-154, a governance proposal offering FOX Rewards as an alternative to SCP-153. They express numerous concerns about SCP-154, including its lack of a suitable platform, technical and smart contract risks, flawed assumptions about the business model, forced prioritization, and potential for token dumping. They advocate for SCP-153 as a more favorable option, emphasizing its fee experiment as a better choice for the DAO's long-term success.
