Some DAOs romanticize the idea of scaling small groups horizontally, but the gravity of flat hierarchy is higher coordination costs + slower progress. Incorporating executive authority in governance may be critical as we all re-discover Why Corporations Work.

1/9 Creating DAOs that improve human organizational capabilities is an ambitious goal and we are just scratching the surface. Most “DAOs” today are at best aspirational and at worst completely faking it.
