Reflecting on the Journey
When we launched Boardroom in 2020, the concept of DAOs felt like science fiction. Governance was an underdeveloped, messy space, and the tools for navigating it were practically nonexistent. But we believed in something bigger: that governance could be the backbone of a new kind of collaboration, one rooted in transparency, accountability, and collective ownership. What started with a simple governance dashboard grew into a robust platform that connected to over 350+ communities. We built tools that gave governors transparency, accountability, and control—addressing the same governance flaws seen in traditional systems.
In 2021, as DeFi flourished and DAOs became mainstream, we introduced our Governance Dashboard, a milestone that allowed tokenholders to manage participation across projects. By 2022, with the launch of Boardroom V2 and our Developer SDK, we had evolved into a platform that connected hundreds of DAOs to engage meaningfully in governance.
But this journey wasn’t just about products—it was about the people.
